In a significant advancement in drone technology, the Turkish-made Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle Bayraktar AKINCI has achieved an important milestone.

During its first live-fire test, the drone demonstrated remarkable precision in destroying a moving maritime target.
This test highlighted Bayraktar AKINCI’s capability to perform complex and precise operations in maritime environments.
The success of this test is largely attributed to the use of ASELSAN’s ASELFLIR-500, a leading Turkish defense company. This electro-optical sensor is considered the best in its class globally, providing the drone with exceptional tracking and targeting capabilities.
For this test, Turkish MAM-L and MAM-T munitions were used, known for their efficiency and precision. Additionally, the test incorporated the use of the Albatros-T, an Unmanned Surface Vehicle, demonstrating the successful integration of different weapon systems in a single test operation.
